  • The health team’s advisory lines provide guidance on health and wellbeing, pregnancy, wellness issues, stress and stress prevention, substance abuse, pain, and treatment plans.

  • Our health team has extensive knowledge of both the public and private healthcare systems.

  • Through our unique Health Navigator and coordinator concept, we offer assistance and guidance related to your treatment, as well as advice on the public healthcare system’s services – for example, patient rights, complaint procedures, compensation, waiting times, free hospital choice, and diagnostic and treatment guarantees.

  • We can also help review medical records from hospitals and doctors.

Treatment by a physiotherapist, chiropractor and osteopath

  • The insurance covers treatment of musculoskeletal conditions based on a healthcare assessment (there must be a medical need for treatment).
  • Physiotherapy and chiropractic care are covered for up to 12 treatments per calendar year.
  • Osteopathy is covered for up to 5 treatments per calendar year.
  • Treatment by a physiotherapist or chiropractor is covered within our quality-assured network or with a practitioner of your choice.
  • Physiotherapy within our network may be provided in person, digitally, or as a combination of digital treatment and in-person sessions (blended care).
  • Chiropractic care within our network may be provided in person or as a combination of digital treatment and in-person sessions (blended care).
  • Osteopathy is covered with a practitioner of your choice.

Treatment with a psychologist and psychotherapist

  • The insurance covers reasonable and necessary online/digital treatment of mental disorders requiring treatment by experienced psychologists and psychotherapists in our quality-assured network.
  • The necessary number of treatments is covered based on a professional assessment.

Hotline for stress and well-being

  • The insurance offers personalised counselling and support for stress or well-being-related problems that do not require actual treatment.
  • The hotline is managed by an in-house counselling team, all of whom have a professional background within health.
  • Counselling is provided, for example, on reducing and preventing early signs of stress and dissatisfaction with life, private wellness issues such as personal crises, children, grief, cohabitation and divorce, as well as work-related wellness issues such as burnout, dismissal, bullying and conflicts.
  • The insurance also offers youth counselling in the form of confidential conversations with healthcare professionals about challenges such as stress, anxiety, loneliness, eating problems, low self-esteem, or issues within the family, at school, or with friends.

Pregnancy counselling

  • Telephone counselling programs for pregnant women and new parents with a personal pregnancy counsellor. All our pregnancy counsellors have a relevant healthcare background and offer telephone counselling sessions on topics such as pregnancy discomforts, being pregnant at work, the first period after birth, the parental role, miscarriage, diet, lifestyle, working life, childbirth, relationships, after-effects, postnatal depression, parental leave and breastfeeding, as well as the child’s wellbeing and development.

The Mental Toolbox

  • Live webinars with psychologists and psychotherapists on managing stress and life challenges, with the option for personal sessions with an experienced mentor.

Access to Mental Health App and Mindfulness for Children, Youth, and Parents

  • The health team can provide access to a mental health app. The app is based on cognitive behavioral therapy and teaches children aged 8–16 and their parents how to manage difficult emotions and topics such as grief, bullying, shyness, divorce, social anxiety, sleep problems, and gaming addiction. The app also offers mindfulness exercises for both children and adults.

Digital ADHD/ADD Guidance by Psychiatrist and Specialist Psychologist

  • The health team can provide access to a digital learning platform offering self-help support with useful information and guidance on ADHD/ADD. The platform is developed by specialists in psychiatry and psychology and can also be used by relatives. Users must be 18 years or older to access the platform.

Trauma counselling

The insurance covers emergency trauma counselling if we assess that you have suffered an acute psychological crisis for the following reasons:

  • If you have experienced a sudden serious incident/accident, where you have been in danger.
  • If you are subjected to a robbery, assault, violence or kidnapping.
  • Fire, explosion or burglary in your private residence or your own business (must be reported to the police).
  • If you are diagnosed with a life-threatening disease.
  • Death within your immediate family.
  • If a member of your immediate family is diagnosed with a life-threatening disease.
  • If you experience a family member’s or colleague’s sudden, unexpected death or sudden serious incident/accident – or an event of a similar nature, regardless of whether it involves a colleague, a family member, or another person.

Examination/assessment by a medical specialist

  • The insurance covers doctor-referred examinations/assessments to establish a diagnosis, e.g., MRI scans.
  • The insurance covers examinations/assessments performed by a specialist at a hospital or clinic designated by us.
  • Examinations/assessments are initiated within 10 working days in the public or private healthcare system.

Asthma and allergy assessment

  • The insurance covers assessment of asthma and allergies.

Medical second opinion by a doctor

  • If you are facing a difficult decision or there is uncertainty about your diagnosis or treatment, we offer telephone consultation with our doctors and nurses. This also applies if two doctors disagree about your diagnosis or treatment (third opinion).

Online emergency medical service

  • The insurance covers private emergency medical service for the entire household, i.e. the insured, spouse/cohabitant and the children of the household who are living at home under the age of 24 – even if a spouse/partner or children living at home are not registered on the insurance.
  • The emergency medical service is a supplement to the general practising doctor and offers quick access to email and video consultations with a private emergency service – also outside normal opening hours.
  • The emergency medical service can answer questions about illness and symptoms that do not require a physical examination.
  • The emergency medical service can prescribe and renew most prescriptions, provide guidance on over-the-counter medicines, and refer you to regional public hospitals.
